Jackie Von Tobel is an interior designer, author, and an enthusiastic professional speaker with 20 years of experience in turnkey residential and commercial interior design. 

Passionate about her work, she draws from a diverse background.  She began to sew at the age of 5 and is an expert seamstress who has also designed and manufactured wedding gowns and evening wear as well as custom jewelry.  Her hands on knowledge of fabrics, tailoring and soft furnishing manufacturing gives her a unique perspective as an interior designer and educator.

Jackie is one of the countries top experts in the field of soft treatment design and construction. She is the author and illustrator of the definitive series of illustrated encyclopedias and comprehensive design manuals for the trade, students and consumers, The Design Directory of Window Treatments, which has just been released by Gibbs- Smith Publisher.  She is currently working on the second volume in the series The Design Directory of Bedding and Bedroom Furnishings, due for release in 2008.

Jackie is a sought after professional speaker and educator who has developed a series of energetic and interactive seminars for the trade.  She currently teaches CEU accredited seminars at such events as, The International Window Fashions Expo, San Francisco Student Design Forum, and various designs centers and trade showrooms across the country.

Jackie is certified by The Window Fashions Certification Program, Window Coverings Association of America, and The Custom Home Furnishings Academy.  She is a member of IFDA and DANA.
